Asked

Questions

  • What happens on the day?
This training is open and available to everyone. Please consider your personal circumstances and your ability to use stairs and ladders. There is uneven terrain and changes of level and steps. Do let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments, and we can discuss this further and try to adapt where possible.

We will constantly walk and talk, with ample opportunity for questions, discussions and explanations.

Sometimes, we may have the opportunity to visit a second site and will either car share or travel directly to the following site.

As many houses are private, we do not ask the owners to provide any catering facility. We won’t stop for a lunch break, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks/sandwiches or purchase them in nearby shops.
  • How will I know where to meet?
Unless otherwise stated, our In-Person Training Days start at 10.00 and end at around 14.30/15.00.

We will email you a few days beforehand with the exact address. Parking and access can sometimes be limited, but we will email you directly with parking suggestions.
  • How big will the group be?
Our In-Person Training Days are always kept small so you can feel comfortable asking questions - typically around six people to make sure that you get the time to see the building and to ask questions.

Not all of our venues are occupied, but some are, and so we use smaller groups out of respect for the owners.

  • Do I need to prepare?
No, there is nothing to prepare. You will be within a safe and nurtured group of like-minded people.   Use the opportunity to ask any questions that arise.  There is no such thing as a silly question.
  • Does this count as CPD?
Yes! In fact, our in-person days count as up to 5 hours formal CPD if you are a RICS member.
